Before the short dead-end block of Moraga Street was built between 14th Avenue and the stairway down to the lower section of Moraga, sidewalks and stairways on both sides of Moraga connected the existing stairway to 14th Avenue. The stairway on the north side still exists, but is mostly buried in the sand and covered by plants.
