Pemberton Place used to continue all the way up to what is now Raccoon Drive, although I'm unsure whether the stairs were built up to there. This block was formally abandoned by the city in 1958, however a short dead-end stairway existed on the south side of Crown Terrace until 2016, when 98 Crown was remodeled and expanded over where the remaining stairs had been.
